I have been thinking of opening a bubble tea shop myself.
 
Most of the bubble tea drinkers are asian chinese. And they usually go for known brands.
most popular is gong cha. they have several in bay area. even angmoh charbor will line up for some bubble tea. too wussy for angmoh males. can also call yours gong kia. canadians won’t know what’s gong kia.

We have gong cha here in Calgary too. Popular. Not that many stores. I have filled in the franchise form application and sent to them.

But I read that is costs about $350k to start a new Gong Cha franchise.

For Cha Time it could be about $150k.

my favorite in sillycon valley is teaspoon. their taro drink with taro chunks is bagus. drinking one right now.

Competition here not so stiff. Can just buy an existing good name franchise. Like Gong Cha.

We have Koi. Gong Cha. Cha Time. Coco. Presotea. Yifang. Jusfruit.

That's about it.
