I pay no more taxes in NZ than I did in Singapore. My effective tax direct tax rate here is less than 7%.
However, I can only achieve this because I am self employed. If I was a salaried worker, NZ would be the last place on earth I'd want to be earning a living in.
irrelevant,it dont matter if ur a high flyer professional in new zealand earning 200k a year and paying the top tax bracket of 45% or some unemployed "self employed" smuck paying 7% tax feeding pigeons in the park.....at the end of the day 30% of every of ur tax dollar ur hard earned dollar goes to supporting socialist policies.practically 30% of ur country's gdp goes to welfare......how can u stand for that?it must infuriate u.

$37,001 – $80,000---------- $3,572 plus 32.5c for each $1 over $37,000 thats 32% tax over 37k
$80,001 – $180,000----------- $17,547 plus 37c for each $1 over $80,000 thats 37% tax over 80k
$180,001 and over -------------$54,547 plus 45c for each $1 over $180,000 thats 45% tax over 180k.
