Dr Ionescu was found to be responsible for the accidents, something he has publicly denied through the media.
He told The New Paper after the verdict, that even though he was "upset" with "some of the people here", he was not upset with the majority of Singaporeans.
He repeated that last night over the phone: "Singaporeans are nice people generally. Only a few are not nice.
"I don't believe in the justice in Singapore. I don't believe in the political (sic) of Singapore."

His remarks have been slammed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), which lodged a "strong protest" last week with Mr Aurelian Neagu, 50, the Romanian Ambassador to Singapore.
