CHELSEA have sacked Andre Villas-Boas after a dismal run of results.
The Blues have struggled for consistency this season and are in danger of missing out on a top-four finish for the first time since Roman Abramovich bought the club.
Villas-Boas, 34, saw his side slump to a 1-0 defeat at West Brom yesterday and that result appears to have been the final straw for trigger-happy Abramovich.
A statement on Chelsea's official website said: "Andres Villa-Boas has parted company with Chelsea Football Club today.
"The board would like to record our gratitude for his work and express our disappointment that the relationship has ended so early."
