RVP has a dodgy history of injuries and will go the way of Berbatov at MU. He is 30. Arsene is a shrewd tactician, RVP is past his prime and will be a flop at MU. 24million is a very very good return on someone not expected to last an entire season. Podolsji and Giroud are extremely good replacements. Arsenal is in CL and is looking good. Go Gunners!

most of the time, the squad is playing too much around RVP, which is not good for the whole squad.

I'm quite sure that if RVP had stay at Arse-nal, he would have been the starting striker in most matches, Podolski might have played on the left (same position he plays for Germany) and Giroud would be mainly on the bench.

Fact 1: Robin Van Persie was injured most of the time during the first 6 seasons at Arsenal. Dubious fitness.

Fact 2: He has not scored more than 11 goals per season in his first 6 seasons.

It's the salary cap at the Emirates that has caused so much despair with players and fans over the years. It was RVP's last chance to leave London and his former team mate, Fabregasc, sounded him off last season.

As far as Arsene and the club is concerned, the financial well being of the club is top priority. Now that the last of the Wenger 'babes' is gone, they can start the season afresh. Pat Rice's departure was a blessing and with no pressure on the club, I expect Arsenal to do very well this season.
