Serious Road Enforcement Officer Stops Dangerous PMD Driver With Flying Kick!!

Unreasonably high road tax for one. The model S should be taxed at the same category as a 3.0L and the model 3 as a 2.0L car.

Basically there are 2.0 and 3.0 turbo charged cars putting out as much power as the Teslas. Yet the Teslas are taxed higher.

Mercedes latest M 139 engine is 2.0L and puts out 400+ hp but only pays $1200 per year in road tax.

You something like dedicated cycling and PMD path? Let’s see where this leads. The petrol boys will not be in favor of this.
Yeah dedicated cycling and PMD pathways. Collect road tax from PMD users. If they want to be treated as another form of motorised transport, then they should be subjected to all the rules and regulations governing motorised vehicles.

Converting the left-most lane as a dedicated cycling/PMD path is one of the easiest solution but things can get dicey in areas with only a single lane or uni-directional routes.

While we’re still on traffic rules, was there a recent change or something? I see tonnes of buses/lorries/van in lane 2 most of the time! Aren’t they supposed to keep left in lanes 3 or 4? Fucking hogging the highway and resulting slow traffic.

Leaving things on a better note, I think there are more people being aware of the fact that lane 1 is for over taking only, and they promptly go to lane 2 after overtaking.

I am aware of this too. And I believe that TP is allowing more vans and small lorries onto the 2nd lane. Yes, some of these drivers been hogging lane 2 with their 60km/h speed.

I hope LTA can look into using computer vision technology to do real time monitoring of these goods vehicles on the roads. I've seen a couple of TP pull lorries over, but they just don't have enough man power to patrol all the streets all day.

On new roads, they need to start factoring in space for dedicated cycling/PMD lanes. And figure out a way to widen existing roads. The problem is they would rather allocated space for structures that yield higher returns, i.e., houses, shops. Coupled with the fact that Sinkieland urban planners are a bunch of half-wit, the future for safe PMD usage looks bleak.

3rd world drivers of heavy vehicles will bring with them 3rd world driving habits. I reckon most of them were imported.

AI and traffic cams would be useful for issuing heavy fines for these slow pokes, that’d would be great.

With the new vehicle IU, they can incorporate biometric technology for the drivers to login before they drive and they can be tracked real time with a demerit point system for bad/dangerous driving.

LTA, wake the fuck up. We need to put the fear of god into these fucking PMD riders.

LTA enforcement officer angry over colleague’s suspension, says he was just doing his job

After a Land Transport Authority (LTA) enforcement officer was caught on camera kicking a Personal Mobility Device (PMD) rider off his device and sending the rider flying along Bedok Reservoir Road, a colleague of his took to social media to call out the people of Singapore for not allowing enforcement officers to carry out their jobs properly.

Writing anonymously to Facebook page SG Confessions, someone who worked as an enforcement officer wrote in. They said that their job is to “enforce the rules and stop these pmd riders that have plagued our roads and walkways”.

He made reference to a video circulating online where when a speeding PMD rider approached a traffic junction, one officer rushed forward and kicked the oncoming PMD rider, sending him flying off his device and crashing into the nearby sidewalk. The rider, whose present condition is unknown, can be seen getting up momentarily before falling down again in the viral video.

n his confession, the colleague wrote, “He (the now-suspended officer) is simply doing what regular Singaporeans want to do but is unable to do because they are untrained”.

Adding that PMD riders were constantly breaking the rules, but that enforcement officers were only allowed to watch and passively take down details of the offender.

If there is no BITE to your rules, why hire us enforcement officers for? Now LTA and the security firm send (sic) a message to all errant PMD rider, (sic) don’t worry just speed off, the green man cannot do anything to you. They cannot touch you, they can only use their eye power.

In one instance, you made all of us enforcement officer (sic) lose our ability to put fear into these punk riders. Now, I really don’t know what I am doing my job for”, he wrote.

Calling for people to make up their minds as to whether they want officers to take action or watch passively, he wrote, “If there is pmd, I will jus (sic) let them run off. Why risk injury to ourselves to protect singaporeans when you don’t back me up?

PAP has gotten itself and the people of Singapore into this big PMD mess. Lousy policy making and useless Ministers, who are paid millions and make stupid policies.

Moral of the story: no need to be so garang if you're a low SES uniformed wage slave. You will lose your job.

It's just a dead end job. Put in minimal effort, don't take initiative, and receive the pittance every month. The 'serve and fuck off' NS mentality, except this time you probably won't be 'fucking off' to anywhere better.

Refer to Ramesh vs condo security guard.

Certis CISCO had better wake their fucking idea. That officer who raised his leg ought to be promoted and given a pay raise! Let the PMD rider suck it all up with the modified trash.

LTA, wake the fuck up. We need to put the fear of god into these fucking PMD riders.

Very similar case scenario.
Either is LTA abusive themselves and no clear guidelines ("I don't care who he is", "u punish them!!!") or is APO not intelligent and didn't follow instructions, or both.
