And we are relentlessly told that we NEED to help them integrate. What are THESE PEOPLE doing to integrate with Singaporeans???? They are large enough in terms of various "foreign communities" to REACH OUT TO SINGAPOREANS as well.
Why are they NOT doing so ????
Instead they stick to their own people and refuse to integrate with Singaporeans. And you get PRs complaining about the lack of equal rights as Singaporeans. These PRs and non-PR foreigners stick to their own communities. Then they complain that Singaporeans do not reach out to them. Many also look down on Singaporeans and call them "whiners", without knowing how terribly difficult the lives of the lower and middle income Singaporeans have become over the last 10 to 15 years.
Why is the government not doing some campaigns to educate the foreigners that it takes 2 to clap??? And that the foreigners need to pro-actively clap as well. If they are a small community, we can understand if they feel "intimidated" and need to be reached out to ... But with foreigners making up 25% of our population, it is NO EXCUSE for them to just stick with their own people and NOT to pro-actively reach out to Singaporeans as well.

What for? A foreigner has his own culture, background, lifestyle, language, food habits, manners, etc. Why should he sacrifice them? So long as there is no law and order problem singaporeans must not ask for integration. The so called INCs should be disbanded and office bearers sent home. Singaporeans should start to worship foreigners as they bring their talent into sterile singapore.

Hug your body first as a first step to know what is Gratitude.
Please don't judge the Creator's creation of the human body as imperfect, as having flaws.
And, that includes treating the anus as an organ created with power of contraction for anal penetration for strong sexual pleasures.
This is the first step to grasp what is true Gratitude.
The rest are yet to be....... in the practice of Gratitude. Long long list of it..
Having said that, it is simple: Have Gratitude for everything from morning till night.

just curious: when you invite a guest home to stay, don't you want to cater to his/her needs as well?
i still think that the problem isn't with the foreigners (becoming new residents or citizens) per se - unless they're trouble-makers who won't fit into any human society - bec s'poreans are by and large very gracious hosts, but that some of the brightest are making s'poreans work harder or even displacing them at work and elsewhere (schools, scholarships, services etc), and there is resentment for the hitherto complacency.
unless one isn't as capable or hardworking, why "fear" or resent the newcomers? the competition is always there, even out of sight. better to have them living alongside openly and compete against other economies together than to be angry that they're better in some respects who may otherwise well be competing against instead of helping us.
and of course, it doesn't hurt for the "guest" to be a bit more accommodating, humble and sympathetic to the needs of the "host" as well.
