Assuming that you are right, and for a good 5 years he hasn't found a buyer for Astrid Hill, he has to dip into his [previous] lawyer's income to meet the shortfall posed by his $26,000 per month rent for Ridout + non-owner occupied property tax he has to pay, are we to take his words at face value without even being told the rental for Astrid Hill ?

Ordinarily, we would have no right to ask for such details. But since he made the non-owner occupied property tax and previous lawyer's income an issue to prove that he did not make any arbitrage profits, it's only right that he gives us a breakdown of the costs.
