Can any brothers here please enlighten me on the debris disposal charges. Many thanks
Just completed my reno in Puteri harbour with Zest Design. Overall good woodwork finish and quality works. So I asked why have bad review in the forum. Answer was simple bad customer, do work and don't pay, so we stop work. Let them complaint and see how they deal with debt collectors. I guess in JB the rules are different with the debt collectors. Anyways, this days doing reno works are not so cheap anymore. Garbage disposal also increase caused of restricted dumping sites. Last time, every contractor just dump all over.
I'm looking for vendors who can polish and restore the luster to my solid surface kitchen counter top. I would appreciate any contacts. Thank you.
Hard to find these contractors. Depending on the type of solid surface you have, you can actually DIY.
If your material is light colored Corian, Formica 44 or Samsung which are very dense, then all you need is a motorised car body polisher, and very fine grit polishing disc as well as polishing cloth. However if your material is dark color or is those of acrylic, then you have to be careful as they are not dense and tend to have scratches.
Thanks very much for your tips. Will try out on a small obscure corner. Much obliged.
Hello! May I check if any one has contractor contact to add a water pump?
My JB house's 2nd floor has low water pressure so thinking of adding a pump...
Gum siah in advance!
I would suggest you check what is the pressure the pipes in the house are designed to withstand and rightsize the choice of the pump. If and when the buried (within the wall) leaks, it's going to be a big headache.
Thanks both! It is actually a new house I am inspecting for house defects. I was told that I could try to install a pump first...if pipes burst, at least the developer will still fix them. My hood neighbors mostly have installed a pump cos' water pressure is really low upstairs...:o
Even if you can get the developer to repair burst pipes, the mess it can create is no joke. I had the unfortunate experience of "indoor waterfall" during the installation of bathroom cabinets when contractor accidentally drilled into a concealed water pipe.
My house was designed for installation of water pump. Yet developer specified the maximum power of the pump that can be installed, presumably they would deny any claims if an oversized pump was installed. If you want to provide for hot water showers only, there are water heaters in the market with built in pumps you can consider.
