If TCJ wants to be accorded Minister's privileges, then he shd go in that capacity and go in official car or his own car. TCJ cant go with a bus load of unofficial people and want them to be accorded as "officials". Security protocols and procedures have been compromised when grassroots were allowed to go through expedited clearance and customs when they are not govt officials.

ICA and TCJ owe Singaporeans an explanation on this breach

Typical MIW style of debate - attack the person, not the issue. How did Boy Scout know it was a careful and deliberate omission ?

Mr Png seems to accept that it's reasonable that our office holders get facilitated, if so, then surely the others in that bus need to be cleared as well so that the bus can leave and not add to the vehicular queues there.

This is precisely what Png was directing at. But Boy Scout's answer is "then surely". What is the basis of "then surely" ? Which law in Singapore supports Boy Scout's notion of "then surely" ? Boy Scout could have travelled in a different vehicle. If not, the next time if they organize a trip to Bangkok, all passengers on board the same aircraft can bypass the queue at immigration and security screening just because Boy Scout is on board ?

But the purpose of his post, and that of his compatriots, was clear. It was not about the old folks. It was aimed at stirring hate and anger, not only to be directed at me, which I can understand politically, but also at my residents and volunteers (who organised as well as helped guide each bus), as well as our officers who secure our borders. It's unfortunate that he and his colleagues chose to politicise the issue.

This TCJ saga epitomises the problem with the pap. They demand their rights and privileges without thinking of the consequences of such demands.

If TCJ had EQ, he wld have politely declined ICA's offer of privileged treatment and that wld have endeared him much with Singaporeans. Humility, not arrogance, wld endear the pap to Singaporeans.

PAP Ministers demanding to be paid market rates show their arrogance.

Seah Kian Peng asking traffic wardens not to book grassroots for traffic offences showed arrogance.

TCJ leading his grassroots to cut queue at TUAS checkpoint is silly display of arrogance. No amount of demand of Minister's right and privileges can justify TCJ's actions. What a bad example he showed to his grassroots.

It is not what you know in your head but it is your heart that counts.

No wonder the grassroots behave with arrogance and are hated by singaporeans.
