I don't buy shit times either. My colleague probably did but everytime he brought it into the toilet to read or whatever, almost a quarter of the pages are gone. No use borrowing from him. Besides, it belongs to company and nobody cares to scold him for "mishandling" the newspaper.

Not sure about others but GMS got my attention by highlighting it in this way. I actually read the article, whereas I might have just skimmed through it quickly otherwise.

For once, I thought the press actually put the opposition in rather a good light.
As an ordinary singaporean reading the article, the two things I remember about it are the picture of NSP and Seb Teo helping to deliver food to the poor, and a recollection of VB's remarks "How much do you want?" and "Do you want to have your 3 meals in a hawker centre, food court, or restaurant?"

Most people who get financial assistance from the government may not read the article, but there will be many people who mostly eat at hawker centres and food courts and only occasionally at restaurants, who are not going to be happy.

It also begs the interesting question if the boundaries are not redrawn in Jalan Besar, which pap member will go over there, especially the guy to replace Dr Lee.

It is not common for forumers to get interviewed by the press so I just thought it would be of interests to many people here. But it is good that the unintentional result is that many people here just take a closer look and read the whole article on Jalan Besar. BTW, I have no chance to get hold of a copy of ST yet....

That pose has nothing to do with Chow Yun Fatt. That stiff piece of wood non-pugilist or gymnast trained couldn't possibly raise his knee so high above the window ledge without breaking his back. That pose is the Bruce Lee Way Of The Dragon pose. Yeah, a bit old fashioned but it's alright by me. The backdrop is a window at Genting casino hotel. Jixiaolan is ex-police too and CSI photography trained. He did well with the silhouette effect.

Someone made the same comment when RP's Tony and Hazel were interviewed. I hope it's good news because given that elections are very near, it could mean that any opposition party featured positively is of no threat.

The media strategy appears to have shifted. RP, NSP, SDA appear in the news every day and even the SDP rally was covered. Right now, ironically, the only opposition being censored by the press is the WP, the opposition most thought to be the most compliant, harmless and subsidiary to PAP and have lost both its teeth and standing. Wonder if the PAP and the brothel thinks it remains the biggest threat and they want to be sure it sinks WP totally if it has not.

Anyway I hope the opposition parties can spring surprise wins if WP cannot make it, yes even RP, although I'm not too hopeful.
