SINGAPORE: Starting Aug 1, the Vehicle Entry Permit fee for foreign-registered cars entering Singapore will be raised from S$20 to S$35 per day, while the Goods Vehicle Permit fee for foreign-registered goods vehicles will be raised from S$10 to S$40 per calendar month, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Tuesday (July 1).

The Vehicle Entry Permit fee increase only applies to foreign-registered cars and will not affect buses or taxis, the LTA said, adding that the fee for foreign-registered motorcycles will remain unchanged at S$4 per day.

Foreign-registered cars entering Singapore will have to pay the permit fee from 2am to 5pm on weekdays – except during Singapore’s June and December school holidays, when the chargeable hours will be 2am to 12pm on weekdays.

Perhaps once the condos are build you might be able to see singapore jurong east and CBD from puteri harbour... But only from 40 storey and above

Yes the view is in JB ( Danga Bay ) and not Singapore. Those facing the Sea views in Puteri harbour ( no need 40th floor please as Singapore side got no HDB blocks or high rise due to F-16s taking off and landing ).. 10th floor and you shd be able to see Taman Jurong... 20-th 30th floor u shd be able to see MBS and fireworks + Indonesia

Yes the view is in JB ( Danga Bay ) and not Singapore. Those facing the Sea views in Puteri harbour ( no need 40th floor please as Singapore side got no HDB blocks or high rise due to F-16s taking off and landing ).. 10th floor and you shd be able to see Taman Jurong... 20-th 30th floor u shd be able to see MBS and fireworks + Indonesia

The land was sold to johor state to build villas for senior civil servants.

We have to pray the Johor Sultan don't lelong his Reserved land in PH to another China developer again! That's supposed to be a Palace

Actually Puteri Harbour is a reclaimed area if you look at the shoreline, all full of stone reinforced embankments.
So no worries of any more reclaimations. Besides the land in PH / Nusajaya is owned by UEM, it be unlikely the Sultan would come in.

That is why Sultan can only sell the sea for chinese developer to reclaim and build houses in the nusajaya area.

The prospect of dinner in Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Alor, supper in Malacca's Jonker Street and a return to Singapore before clubbing hours is looking more likely, going by published details of the planned high-speed rail (HSR) link between KL and Singapore.

According to Malaysia's Land Public Transport Commission, its equivalent to the Land Transport Authority (LTA) here, the rail service is proposed to have stops in Seremban, Ayer Keroh (Malacca), Muar, Batu Pahat and Nusajaya in Johor, not far from a motorsports hub being built by Singapore tycoon Peter Lim. Passengers will take 21/2 hours to go from KL to Singapore, said the commission. This includes time for waiting, transfers and immigration clearance, and is shorter than the five hours by car and four by plane.

Actual travel time between the two cities is estimated at 90 minutes.

Besides an express service, the line will also have transit trains that stop at the cities in between.

TM-UEM-Iskandar smart pact

TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd (TM) has teamed up with UEM Sunrise Bhd and Iskandar Investment Bhd to set up a joint venture, offering smart services in Nusajaya, Johor.

The pact is one of the areas that was identified in the collaboration agreement between TM, UEM Sunrise and IIB signed in 2012 for the development and management of the smart and connected Nusajaya.
The joint-venture, in which TM will be the majority shareholder, will operate as a managed services company, where it will design and build the smart city infrastructure as well as provide smart building and smart city services that will include security, energy and facility management services.




TM will be playing a role towards nation-building by promoting a localised partnership ecosystem to encourage participation and capability development of local vendors.




In addition, the company will continuously explore opportunities to capture new development project in Nusajaya area for smart services.




“We understand the need for state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure and most advanced ICT services as it will definitely be a pulling factor for direct investments,” TM group chief executive officer Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa said in a statement Monday.




“By leveraging on our extensive high speed converged network infrastructure whether in the last mile, national backhaul or global reach via our international links, expertise in unified communications coupled with proven ICT managed services capabilities and experiences, we are set to elevate Nusajaya into one of the attractive investment destinations in the region,” Zamzamzairani added.




UEM Sunrise executive director Datuk Izzaddin Idris said the company is excited with the collaboration as it paves way for a digital eco-system towards realising its vision of a smart and connected Nusajaya, which is envisioned to be one of the leading modern living communities with world-class telecommunications and ICT services.

From this news, it is more or less confirmed that the HSR will be through Nusajaya.
The high speed Telekom fibre optic cables would tag along the same infra as the rail into Nusajaya.
