Irony is, now that the opposition esp. WP and PSP have build up a credible GRC Team, this ranjiao GRC nonsense is starting to backfire on PAP, in fact twice, resulting in PAP losing 3 ministers and 2 SMOS, 1 Senior Parliamentary Sec in Aljunied GRC (2 ministers, 1 SMOS) and Sengkang GRC (1 minister, 1 SMOS, 1 SPS) LMAO.

Problem is PAP now cannot u-turn on GRC already as this ranjiao GRC issue has been debated many times in parliament with PAP giving all kidns of ranjiao 'scholarly' justifications that GRC is 'good for Singapore' hence from now onwards, as long as oppo presents a GRC team with credible candidates, PAP is hong kanz already.

Likely new GRCs lost by PAP : West Coast-JW GRC, East Coast GRC and even Punggol GRC.
SMCs likely tio jiak includes Bukit Panjang SMC ( vs SDP Paul Tambyah) and other added bonus includes Jalan Kayu SMC (vs WP power speaker new comer Andre Low), Marymount SMC (vs PSP), or even Sembawang West (vs SDP Dr Chee).

It's not a matter of how but a matter of when for PAP to become the opposition party within next few GEs, LOL.

If a minority and unknown individual like Murali was able to be elected in the former Bukit Batok SMC, there is no need for the GRC.
It would be desirable to revert back to all SMCs

In previous times, a strong opposition candidate or GRC team could be easily tiojiak by an unknown or newcomer from the ruling party. However, this is no longer the case, following the significant breakthrough win of these 'A' candidates or GRC teams.
