Hopefully this will spread and more people will decide to give me a chance to serve Punggol East!

[/h][h=5]The government has the responsibility of looking after its citizens and should not just play a 'charity role' when tackling the needs of the people and building a community.

This is especially so for me when it comes to our elderly.
The senior citizens are the pioneers of Singapore who have contributed to nation building but have been forgotten in their twilight years.

One of the issues that I would like to push for in Parliament is their welfare.
To start with, patients above 75 years old should be allowed to use their Medisave for medical treatment without restriction, and patients should not be required to be referred only by polyclinics in order to receive subsidized rates at specialist clinics at public hospitals.
