Speaking at the PAP60 rally, PM Lee said that the next General Election will be a “deadly serious fight”.
He said that the election will not be about “how many seats the opposition will get” but instead it will really be about who will form the next government.
It seems that PM Lee foresees the possibility of his party losing power in the next election.
He went on to say that the election will also be about whether Singapore can continue to have a First world government instead of just a first world parliament as the WP had been touting in GE2011.
PM Lee also predicted that the contest in each constituency would be about national issues instead of simply local constituency issues.
He also accused some voices in society and social media of trying to mislead others.

Another point was made about how the PAP is the only party in Singapore which brings together different groups, implying that all other opposition parties are divisive.
The PAP60 event was held at the Singapore Expo where over 6000 party activists attended.
PM Lee said that the PAP will fight to win every constituency and the party also announced the members of the Central Executive Committee who were elected.
