A taxi driver’s bizarre antics while on a Singapore expressway leave much to be explained after the driver reportedly banged into walls and cars and dropped off a passenger in the middle of the expressway.
The incident was captured on dashcam footage and uploaded to the ROADS.SG Facebook page in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
In the footage, which has been viewed 69,000 times, a taxi driver is seen swerving on the right-most lane of an expressway identified in the ROADS.SG caption as the East Coast Parkway (ECP) expressway in the direction towards downtown Singapore.
The taxi driver hits on the expressway’s right-side wall twice before coming to a stop in the middle of the road.
Then, the taxi’s passenger is seen leaving the cab and holding his hand up to stop traffic while he moves away from the taxi to the side of the expressway.
After neighboring drivers checked that the passenger is fine, the taxi driver then drives off, narrowly passing through a car in front of the taxi.
A neighboring car picks up the passenger and the driver of the car in front of the taxi soon exits his vehicle to check the front for any damages that the taxi driver may have left behind while trying to pass by the vehicle.
The taxi driver was nowhere to be seen after that incident.
The police and taxi company ComfortDelGro are investigating the incident, reported Stomp.
