Married couple Chee Hongyi and Foo Jit Choon, both 29, have many things in common: Both studied at Anglican High School, and both chose careers in uniform - he in the army, she in the police force.
From next month, the couple will also share the same job: honorary aide-de-camp (ADC) to the President.
The first married couple to hold that post, Captain Chee and Assistant Superintendent Foo are among the 103 officers who have been appointed to serve one-year terms as honorary ADCs.
Together with three full- time ADCs, they received their appointment certificates from President Tony Tan Keng Yam at the Istana on Thursday.
