Pre-School is monopolise?

If you want to talk about unfairness, just look at how they got rid of the unwanted schools like Swiss Cottage, Whitely, Anderson & Dunman from the Bukit Timah area. Coincidentally this is the area where most of our MPs are living:rolleyes:

They moved MGS to where Swiss Cottage used to be. Anderson made way for the expansion of Raffles Girls School.

Coincidence:confused: Not likely in Spore where everything is planned.

Swiss Kotex was taken over by SCGS not MGS which is located at King Albert's Park.

Been awhile since I've visited that corner but I thought SCGS/MGS now occupies the area where Whitely Sch & Swiss Cottage School used to be located. These 2 schools are side by side separated by a field.

I remember going to Swiss Cottage for technical workshop. I'm sure people remember the "technical education" from the past, another relic from the past:)

King Albert Park is where the old American School used to be located, don't know what's happened to that location.

Wa so many "secret" all coming out now. KNN so many years I alway think they damn good. Fuck!

It's an "open secret" many have questioned the concentration of these schools in one area.

The MOE's excuse was that they were building a corridor of excellence or something like that:rolleyes:

Now MOE must explain what plan they have to ease the fucking traffic jam in bukiet timah everyday.

Talk cock ok. The school located got affect the HDB price in the area. MOE must be hold account to this kind of decision!

I'm from the former Canning Rise branch & continued to Barker Rd. Your my senior by about 4 years. :)

Did you know that the Barker Rd school had a major overhaul a few years ago?

Canning Rise? I remember queing up after the noodles for the delicious soup. Classmates would compare how many times they lined-up for the soup. If I recall rightly, I think 10-12 bowls of soup after the 'tar mee' was very common.

The first stall on the right was Indian Muslim food. Indian rojak was solid. That noodle stall somewhere in the middle. Cup drinks last stall and anchored by tit-bits stall and bottled drinks. Can also recall tow suan stall, another noodle stall, char kuay teow stall. Wow, that was close to 50 years ago.

In front, Methodist Bookroom. Back of it, courtyard area play hamtam bola. Further down the road, MPH. Good for stealing!!! Once awhile fought with Tuan Mong students. SJI too.

Bloody school reputed to be haunted. Nearby, wanton noodles from National Library was best. Nearby cemetry for hide and seek very ideal.

Yes, I am aware of the major overhaul to BR.

100% sure MGS is not there. SCGS took up the entire place. SJI is nearby.

Technical workshop at Swiss Kotek were the days everyone tried to avoid paying bus fare for just 1 stop back to BR. Bloody driver always go extra slow to make sure his bus conductor collects the fares.

The chilli & noodle stall must have been the most popular :) All for only 10 or 20(for heavy eaters:D) cents:eek:

Heard that the indian rojak stall holder pass away I think of heart problems:(

For anyone who remember the milk program, magnolia milk was also dispensed at the drink stall(non bottled), 1st stall from where they were selling tidbits:)

Last time I visited MGS was in their old location behind Plaza Singapura. That's how out of touch I am with Spore schools :)

The distance between Swiss & BR was only 1 bus stop so it was an pain but within walking distance which was what I did. Once I even remember walking to Orchid Inn with a friend to have a meal, then take a bus to BR.

What I remember is that the Swiss people were quite hostile to us. On the 1st day they laid down the rules & regulations of "Don'ts". Past students must have caused problems :D

Is Tuan Mong still around:confused:

With the PAP policy of relocating old schools I'm sure some schools never survived. I met an old boy of Cedar school. I know of Cedar Girls School but it's only for girls.

Swiss Kotek charbohs not jude. I prefer Anderson's. RGS girls too nerdy.

I think the girls of gov't schools bloom later because they lack the exposure to people who are fashionable. It is when they get out of school that they start picking up tips from fashion magazines, other fashion conscious people.

Something that more affluent families take for granted.

I like SCGS girls or maybe it's their uniforms:)

Not really true. my kid is at a pre-school call Cherry Hearts at Paya Lebar area. There is another pre-school here call Apple Tree (or something like that), the more expensive one is Julia Gabriel, Montesorri, etc.

The cheap ones are more religious base or PAP base. However, there is a rule that they are not supposed to inplant religious values in class.

with christains ppl like teekee ...do you not think that they never inject their faith to the kids ?
