The right thing to respond to such self praise is to let her know this is what she supposed to be doing.
Not sure why many workers always think that when they deliver their job, they need to be recognised. They never think this is their job and they get paid for what they have done.
I think becos they were eating snakes all the time, so when they do their job, they forgot that this is actually their job.
I have to thanks a ceca for bringing this up during a presentation by the vendor when they fixed something during a major bank outage. Or else the vendor thought that they have done something special, but it was just their basic job requirement. Same like what tpl is thinking now.
That's why I always say, actually not more than 10% of workers are needed in this world, becos the rest are actually not required for business to bau.
