The guy who ran the town's "horse-taxi" service was Krafty.
Some people liked him, some sympathised with him, others mocked him.
Krafty was convinced that the head bandit, a horrible old man, was after him, but few believed him.
What was more likely was that another bandit, an extremely low ranking and insignificant individual, had crossed swords with him in the past, and Krafty could not forget it.
Krafty spoke frequently about leaving the town, but he either didn't or left and always came back. :o
He didn't want to join the posse initially, but when he found that the low ranking guy was there, he decided to join.
Btw, some people suspected that there was something going on between the low ranking bandit and a woman from the town, since she would frequently mention his name while walking about in the town.

That woman's name was cass888.
As she was wealthy and married to a high ranking bandit, she thought she could behave however she wanted in the town, and would occasionally hurl abuses and vulgarities at the townspeople. Some could not even believe that she was a woman. :o
She was constantly worried that the townspeople would find out who her high ranking bandit husband was, but actually, nobody gave a shit.
The nosey cynical bartender jw5 and cass888 hated each other. They had crossed swords once, after cass888 had hurled abuses at the tavern's patrons after a particular bad day.
From then on, whenever cass888 came in for a drink, the bartender would add a little something special in it.
She would never join the posse, dont forget, her husband was one of them.

Smells like a pungent sequel. Sequels tend to do poorly.

If the 2nd movie was fighting with the kelings we would have some characters like the screwball actually rooting for them playing the evil mastermind.
