Possibility of war between Singapore and Indonesia/Malaysia

It is a joke alright. One of my ex-schoolmate was a pilot with RSAF who flew those F-5E Tigers. Got him drunk one night and he said that in the event of a war, they would fly the jet aircraft to Australia and park it there so they won't risk losing them. It's a good career though. He flies with SIA now making good money and enjoying life.

bro dun wrong me lah.. i never eat store rations or snakes. my main responsibility was mainly indenting, maintaining supplies of stationery, opening/closing doors/locks, preparing the manpower officer room for work, etc and all kinds of sai kang. but i tried my best and worked my hardest to support the staff as i believe everyone have a role to play.

Under the current situation, and looking into the near future, there will be no war in the region. Under ASEAN, economic cooperation will ensure the leaders of the member nations are setup to grow prosperous. Even our muslims here want the economic pleasures and comfort. The only ones who lose out big time are the Orang Utans who have their homes destroyed for the economic sake of homo sapiens. All the war tones and vocal threats are better known as "wayang" are to lead the simpletons more support for politicians playing on their nationalistic egos. Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia are all trying very hard to make more money and will not risk or sabotage progress in this area.

and if war does indeed happen, I believe the RSAF will have to carry the main responsibility to defend our nation. Our F-15s, F-16s will surely annihilate the other 2 countries air forces easily. But our other armed services are quite low in morale, due to preferential treatment dished out to officers, especially scholars..

How can we fight? Indon drops a few paratroopers Infantry brigades or 500 Kopassus into S'pore and there will be widespread chaos and panic.

And I am certainly not fighting against professional soldiers who train day in day out for things like these. That is their job, that is how they make their living, not mine. If want to fight, better turn around, capture your CO&OC and deliver to Indons for a reward.

Btw, Malaysia has F-18's and Indon air force has F-16's too.

Don't get your hopes too high. SAF NS men morale even lower due to preferential treatment for FTs and elite white-horses.

Singapore will lose any war even before H+1 hr due to self inflicted major disruptions to services like MRT, traffic jams (remember the SOC delays at Little India), multi system failure in infrastructure, easy border incursions through poorly controlled ICA checkpoints, ground commanders who have NO BALLS (exercising restrain or rules of engagement not to fire/conserve ammo) to make decisions and a wimpy PM who is conveniently MIA when crisis hits etc.

People who have known or served with Perry Lim will tell you that he is the real deal: brains, balls and brawn. Plus healthy dollop of charisma. None of that ball-licking lap dog stench about him.

The only thing he lacks as a general is real war experience. But his academic, military and physical CV are outstanding. We have not had a senior officer like him for quite some time.

He may be a PAP dog, but if there is anyone to transform PAP and the govt into what it once was, it will be this guy. Kee Chiu Chan, Lui, Desmond Kwek and even LHL pale in comparison to this man.

I dont know about our Army and RSN. But having served in the RSAF myself as a lowly storeman. I can tell everyone the camaraderie amongst all men and officers is generally strong. Even for me, i tried my best to carry out my duties so that the higher ups can focus on their duties more efficiently and effectively. In conclusion, RSAF will rise to the occasion and take down any adversary of the state of Singapore decisive ly.
