I also would like to state further that the Indian National Army (INA) comprising of ex-British soldiers of Indian descent gathered at the same area (Farrer Park) where they vowed to kick the British out of India with the help of the Japanese with their battle cry, Challo Delhi (March to Delhi).

These troops were already close to the Burma / India border (Imphal) and had to turn back because the Japanese twin cities were bombed.
