I think its time this topic resurfaced in light of the impending GE. I just want to bring several points to the attention of the bros here.
1) This is a true story. How do we know its a true story? We know this because Ross Worthington, the author of the book has not been sued. Some of the people mentioned has since died, eg, Old Fart, Richard Hu, but the main players GCT, Gay Loong, Tony Tan etc. are all around. If they are so fast and willing to sue Roy or arrest Amos, surely, a law suit against Worthington would have been put together in double quick time. But they can't sue him because...........ITS ALL TRUE.
2) If this incident was true, it follows that criminal charges must be brought against the Prime Minister. It is a chargeable offence to conduct bodily harm such as when Gay Loong struck Dhana. When Amos was slapped outside the court by Neo Gim Huah, Amos did not make a police report. In fact, Amos was in court, and had no knowledge of who this person was. Yet Neo was arrested and charged and jailed for the slap. In this Cabinet incident, the Police have information that Gay Loong slapped Dhana, why did they not act and arrest him like they did Neo? What if Obama slapped his Treasury Secretary in a cabinet meeting? He would have been prosecuted. Is the PM Gay Loong immune from the law and above it? What if during the GE campaigning, Gay Loong slapped some oppo supporters? Will he get away with it again? There is really two sets of laws in singapore, for the haves and the have nots.
3) One can see that Gay Loong has no support among the civilian members of the cabinet and even in the PAP CEC. That was why the SAF scholarship scheme was hijacked by the PAP to provide a support base of scholar generals who were rushed into politics so they can be the base for fellow scholar general Gay Loong. This is why Gay Loong keeps appointing scholar generals into cabinet minister positions, key GLCs, etc. They will vote for him in CEC, and the will cover his ass. Without scholar generals in politics, no civilian will support Gay Loong, especially now after his father has died. Whether these scholar generals are any good or not remains to be seen. Already, we have seen serious failures like Lewd Fuck You and Dessie Quack.
4) If there are truly talented ministers and potential people who could excel in the roles, what does it say about the Prime Minister when he skips over all these people to appoint SAF scholar generals, no matter how incompetent they are, just so they can support him.
