His speech proved once and for all that PAP love FTs more than local Citizens..

We are Pariahs in our own country..

Because the COE has gone so high that it does not make sense to buy the Honda and the BMW does not cost any cheaper.

without COEs, our roads will be as fcuked as jakarta, KL, Manila, HCM and Bangkok
owning a Car in Sgp is a luxury. if the poor and middle class take up cycling, it will reduce the number of cars and the number of poor.

cars should be kept very very expensive. singaporeans should learn to use more public transport. this small place cannot afford to be a big car park jammed here and jammed there. you see traffic jams all over the island during the peak hours. one traffic accident will hold up traffic for hours. kudos to the government for making cars expensive and unaffordable. well done. world's best governance.

to to bangkok, and see the jams yourself. go to hanoi. go to jakarta. you will go insane!

yes, yes...pm's speech was the masterly stroke ....gel all singaporeans into one united nation. great statesmanship. great speech.great illustrations. great speaker. great...world class leader! wonderful!!!...singaporeans are very lucky to have such a wonderful, warm, gracious, compassionate and kind hearted PM. majulahsingapura!!!

Pay still world's highest......... does he not know that pay must be matched with worldclass performance?
Still too many mistakes around n more being created.........

SMEs got jobs........ what job when PME in their 60s can't even get graduate entry level pay with all the solid experience n the degrees they can bring to the job. Why dun PM say loudly there are lots of toilet cleaner jobs but PMEs do not want them! How does this state of affair looks compared to the super high pay they give themselves n their sex-hungry civil serpents????

So many MPs and ministers take multiple salaries. They will continue to suck the taxpayers money dry with little work done and more problems created. Singaporeans have to wake up their idea and push the PAPzis and WP MPs to do the right thing.

This was the old story. Without the COE, our roads will be clogged. But today even with COE and ERP, our roads are jammed. Without investment in roads which COE and ERP have helped to delay, we will be screwed anyway.

hi, can you imagine how much more jammed up our roads will be without COE? just assume, no more COE and ERP. the average Vios/Swift/Sunny drops to $40-50k. every ah seng and ah lian who just graduate from poly or uni will go out and buy a car. can u imagine how many more cars there will be on the roads?

as to the effectiveness of the ERP, that remain debatable. i am of the opinion that should traffic speeds fall below X/kmh (eg X is 20), then the ERP gantry should refund $0.50 or $1 back to each car's IU. this will be the best KPI for the ERP system - whether it pays out more or collects more from the gantries.

The introduction of COE and ERP has retarded our development in the road network. This has made its mark in all the previous master plans and it is something not easy to correct when we are forced to expand our roads. As a result we will be stuck in an ever increasing high cost private transportation regime. Ever wonder so many ministers supposedly brilliant scholars can't find solution to this?

The PM made a great speech and covered all the concerns of citizens. Have to agree with your statements above. Cheers

I used to be damned angry about the COE and ERP. But now I believe they are doing a great job! When I need to go down town, it's a breeze!!! No deadman's jams like other cities. Singaporeans should count their blessings. We have so many brilliant schemes to manage our small little space here. If only we have more land and more space, this place would certainly be a HAVEN on earth!!!

3. have you ever try drive on pie?

A very good idea indeed.

If you are prepared to take, be prepared to pay too for not being able to render a smooth drive.

A very fair game................
