People’s Association (PA) is under fire for putting up a Malay couple’s wedding photo as part of its Hari Raya decoration at Radin Mas Constituency. It did not even ask them for permission!


Most importantly, using a photo of a bride and groom in traditional costume does not represent Hari Raya. Shouldn’t they know that?

People's Association is hardly some neutral, apolitical grassroots organization that manages the CCs and various community activities... it is nothing more than a satellite organization of the PAP.

The 'People's' is their branding and a dog whistle for their Lightning comrades, and has nothing to do with the generic concept of the 'people' or 'citizens' of the country.

I believe many years ago, PA members were caught handing out leaflets for PAP candidates during an election.

So if you have a PAssion card, you are by definition an honorary PAP member, congratulations.

I really don't see why the minah is so upset. She would be happy that the cutout photo from her wedding is used for our grassroots event. My wife and I took photos with the standee and our residents had a great laugh. Now a happy event has turned sour thanks to this karen minah. I hope she's happy.
