Back in 1999 a nurse told me that there were no graduate courses for nursing in Singapore then because MOH did not want to pay nurses graduate level salaries.

Nurses had asked MOH to have graduate nursing courses in NUS or NTU. MOH refused.

So nurses had to go on their own abroad or do partial distance learning nursing grad courses to further their skills and qualifications.

What if more healthcare workers resign or quit the job after received the $4000 and, AWS and bonuses in next month, December.

Such incentive would cause more divisive I our front line essential workers.
Those working in cleaning, public transportation will be very demoralised for not being recognised, their efforts are not being rewarded, as only healthcare workers are handsomely rewarded, extra bonus, extra pay increment, now $4000.

Frontline healthcare indeed stretch to the max. Toughest among all front line jobs .
Especially those from ncid and icu from all gov hospital. No joke, must salute to them . They deserve our respect and salute more than paper officers.

Imuho whether high or low skill leepend on whether is tangible eg you need coding skills to code therefore not low skill. You need skill to fix a pipe service aircon etc but many orfit jobs are intangible eg ceo proj mgr or even ministers etc you can screw it up but other people complete their tasks it is still done. Even loctors my uncle think surgeon need skill to operate on patient but gp can just anyhow issue mc or medicine to patient KNN the real skill may be discovered when needed KNN
