Not credit cards, lah. Debit cards. Bankers not so stupid to issue credit cards to domestic workers who may run road or balek kampong anytime. If holding credit cards, it is supplementary cards or they already imported fake sinkies.

Credit cards lor. Those pinoy office workers probably with PR. But back in 1997 banks do not even issue credit cards to PR.

Simple, lah. They thought pappies would continue to give cash handouts, freebies, goodies but they forgot in the island, nothing is free, no free lunch. Pappies will find a way to take it all back, not now but tomorrow, day after tomorrow, they have 4 long years to squeeze until next GE comes around and the cash handouts, freebies and goodies start churning out again.

especially when singapore do not have minimum wages and prices keep increasing. if fts cannot make money to retire home. they might as well stay in their own country.

Those foreigners in their right mind would not want to become sinkies. They prefer to be SPRs to enjoy almost same privileges as sinkies, and in addition, can take back CPF in full, no min sum to top up and lock up, can buy and re-sell HDB flat, can flee balek kampong any time. Sinkies? Where to flee to? Bedok reservoir, may be.

...in the 1990's, pr will also use hdb loans for resale flats so the foreclosure rates should be much lesser. now singapore is like a massive bubble.

Very puzzling why pappies allow SPR to buy HDB flats when these foreigners are not citizens of the country. Moreover, they are also given HDB loans. What kind of Govt do we have? Helping foreigners to own Govt subsidized flats. Either pappies are dumb or they are mad.
