Over 1 Million Singaporeans unemployed ?
Is this due structural unemployment ? Are there no jobs in the market or we are not willing to move on to new fields ?
2.9 million foreigners in the country in a population of 5.4 million. Who do you think took the jobs?

It is due largely to poor sinkie gene pool, as shown by this chronically ill and mentally/physically handicapped sinkie family. That's why we need foreigners, even if they only have a degree from some degree mill. They are still much more economically valuable to Singapore than this burdensome sinkie family.

let's deal with facts. all you have to do is look into the resident population statistics of sg in 2014. "resident" covers citizens and pr's. as of the latest census data (2014), sg has 855k sinkies below 20 years old and 431k sinkies 65 years and older. 2.583m are between 20 to 64 years old. obviously, if you do the math, 855k + 431k = 1.286m are below 20 (infants, children, students, ns men) and 65 and older (elderly, retirees, etc.). the "over 1 million sinkies are unemployed" statement is a half-truth and is extremely deceptive and disingenuous.

Let's not forget the NS boys who are considered as employed but underpaid.
Also the way statistics data is collected is flawed. If you are driving a cab on a temp basis, you are considered employed. Even though you are really under employed. Also after a few months, those still looking for a job are ignore from the stats.
A lot of these r unemployed housewives or retires on early retirement. For high earners, highly likely their wives don't work. Also older Singaporeans can call it a day if their kids r working and they have enough to retire.
your reading and comprehension skills are atrocious, including logic and math....
Forgot to include those who are doing MLM, Insurance, Property sales,... Many Sporeans will say they are doing something because there is a stigma about being unemployed in Spore.
My point is that the PAP is using the statistics to paint a rosy figure & not as a tool to show the reality.

It only shows how well fed the Sinkies are, such that they can still survive without having to work.
I'm sure if they aren't able to put at least 2 meals a day on the table, no matter what job (at what pay) that comes along, they'll rush for it, at least to make ends meet during the interim period.
If this See Gin Nar were to ridicule the King in Thailand in the same manner, he will surely be put away without any need for an interrogation nor a trial. He should consider himself lucky to be able to engage a lawyer for his case here in Sinkie Land.
Apparently a loser like you cannot appreciate that we must compare apples with apples and not with oranges:
1) Sinkie Land is a republic not a monarchy. As such, there is no king or queen, and it stands to logic that there is NO such crime as lese majeste.
2) Thailand is a Third World country. Sinkie Land claims to have gone from "Third World to First World", why that dead Old Fart even claimed credit for it by making it the title of the second part of his autobiography, as if the first part did not contain enough nonsense already. Were this to happen in Switzerland, a First World country, the boy's constitutional right to freedom of speech would be duly respected.
3) Even in a constitutional monarchy (where the queen's role is purely ceremonial) such as the United Kingdom, it is perfectly LEGAL to make fun of the Queen as this video will prove. Why there are even some parodies of the Queen which are produced and shown on BBC, which is funded by taxpayers but independent of the Government which in turn is separate and different from mere political parties such as Lightning.
