Last year the area around Scott road was flooded. And when the road is raised, this time the area around Tanglin is flooded.
I assume the water from Tanglin hill?, instead of rushes down orchard road free and easy now diverts away downstream from the raised road.
In this context, then it may not be solely the fault of MB that it impedes it's tributary canals and therefore causes the flood in Orchard road last year. What could be pretty possible is that the amount of water on the road are not quick enough to drain off from the gutters opening located at the sides of Orchard road.
So, are the gutters really clogged up with debris, or not big enough or the drain below the gutter could not accommodate these flood water ?
And it appears we may have a structural problem not just with the MB but also from the many roads that are quickly flooded due to the run off effect and the size and efficiency of it's gutter.
