I graduated from SIM in 2015. That was almost 2 years ago and I have since sent out thousands of job applications. In the end, I only received invitations to 4 interviews. Honestly I don't have high expectations. Merely asking for a starting pay of 2.2k per month; I am also most willing to work at SMEs. However a job is hard to come by, and truth is, I have been without a full time job for the past 2 years.

I have taken up a job stacking books as a part time librarian while I went around hunting for a job. I earned $3 an hour and barely took home 1k a month. I feel like a loser, always wondering if my life will be lived out in this pitiful state forever. Things look rather hopeless at this point in time... I feel that my future in this world is so dark. Now I really regretted not studying harder and thus ended up at SIM.

$3 an hour.. datz exp;oitation............i pay $15 for my lousy part time FDW

CLEARLY FTRASHES HV STOLE YOUR LUNCH & FOOD

my uncle say in certain conditions it is better to take up a $3/hr part time jobs than a $5/hr one as the $5 one will cause your gross salary to just exceed $500 and endup earning less than the $3 one after deducting cpf.

The person is a wanker!, I am sure you thumb through the Shit Times, jobs classified or even go on line; you stand around distributing flyers, it will pay more than $3 an hour.

If he is paid so low, he must go to that house next to Plaza Singapura, don't go back door, now got hantu, ring the bell, ask for macik, do good do together, work part time gardening. I am sure he will be paid more than $3 an hour.

He is a real wanker...wants sympathy.

How much are those credit card pushers @ MRT stations paid ?

I hope there is a law to stop those fake bankers from touting outside MRT stations. Isn't touting an offence ?

PAP caters only to the elites. Still pretending to look after every Singaporean. I remember their slogan that no one will be left behind. Fact is many have been left far behind. If SIM graduates not good enough then close down the university. Pcb.

male or female?
male go sign army. female go sign as freelancer.

The problem with SIM degrees is that they are all unfailable type of subjects, i.e. pay your school fees on time and they issue you the certs. A technical diploma is worth more than a useless purchased soft subject degree that equips the students with almost nothing.

Most SIMs end up doing administration, backoffice operations or low level product/service sales.

I remembered back in 90s those days our secondary school teachers keep telling us to go to ITE.

If one cannot enter JC or Poly, going to ITE isn’t a bad choice.

ITE certificates are much more accredited than private university degrees :D

How much does Macdonalds pay? What an idiot.
