China announced today that they are enlarging an existing Giant Shipyard Platform to unprecedented size. This is in preparation to final assembly of 003 aircraft carrier which is now being constructed in few hundred Lego blocks (sub-sections) The new yard facility will have in-door constant temperature environment quality, to enabled most precise Thermal strain & Thermal Expansion conditions for advanced quality and strength control. The Chinese want to ensure the entire carrier is assemble and joined up in one single temperature environment regardless of any out-door environmental conditions.

江南厂正为中国第3艘航母做技术准备 新建重型船台

随着我国第一艘存国产航母建造工作的结束,以及新航相关技术验证工作的结束,我国第二艘国产航母003号的建造工作也已经如火如荼的展开。和前两艘航母在大连造船厂建造不同,这艘航母将在江南造船厂进行建造。为了配合这艘航母的建造,江南造船厂已经进行了大规模的基础设施改建和设备更新工作。
根据相关信息和卫星图片可知,江南集团新军品区的基建项目目前已经基本完成。据悉,这片新厂区将003航母的生产厂房。但是,为了加快工程进展,部分部件的生产还将在3号线老厂房进行生产,未来将全部转入新厂区。未来,航母建造全部的下料、试验和小模块的焊接都将在新厂区进行。
为了配合航母的室内成型建造工作,江南造船厂新建了35+米超重型船台。该超重型船台可以满足水线宽度46米段船体总段的成型安装。未来,003航母吃水宽度在41.5米以下的舰体巨型总段将在该厂房的室内成型区进行。该重型船台可以封闭化调节,避免各种不良天气对航母建造工作的干扰,还可以调节室内温度,首次实现恒温生产。
航母作为超大型工程设备,不可能所有的建造工作都在室内完成。根据经验,室内重型船台建造的总段包括船头段、船身中部段和船尾段。这些总装分段生产出来后,将会分别运往4号船坞最北段进行总装。航母船头段相对更轻,预计将采用巨型平板自动运输车进行陆上移动运输。船体中部和尾部将通过水上驳船运输的方式进行运输。这些分段将在4号船坞进行总装合拢。
由于室内巨型船台厂房高度的限制,这些室内建造的分段将不包括机库、舰岛等上层建筑。这些上层建筑在船体成型后才可以进行组装。在4号船坞内,各分段的合拢时间也有着先后顺序。因此,在4号船坞内还将设置1到2个防水隔断。这些放水隔断将保证后来入坞的舰体分段不影响更早入坞的分段的生产作业。当003航母全甲板贯通后,最大宽度将达到76米。
由于电磁弹射器首次在常规动力航母上应用以及总装工作的特殊性,江南造船厂在新厂区专门建设了电磁弹射器地面安装和测试车间。安装在航母上的电磁弹射和拦阻装置,将在该区域组装、试验、完成验收后才能最终上舰。
经过这些基础设施的改造,江南造船厂将具备航母生产“流水线”生产的能力。其中,4号船坞最大可以同时建造1.5艘航母。这样,在保证合拢完成一艘出坞一艘的前提下,里面的半艘航母的建造工作可以同步进行。这就保证了生产的连续性。(作者署名:长缨防务 )

According to relevant information and satellite images, the infrastructure projects of the Jiangnan Group's new military product area have been basically completed. It is reported that this new plant will be the production plant of the 003 aircraft carrier. However, in order to speed up the progress of the project, the production of some components will be produced in the old factory of Line 3, and all will be transferred to the new plant in the future. In the future, all the aircraft construction, testing and welding of small modules will be carried out in the new plant.
In order to cooperate with the aircraft interior molding construction work, Jiangnan Shipyard built a new 35+ meter super heavy ship platform. The super-heavy ship platform can meet the molding installation of the hull section of the 46-meter waterline width. In the future, the mega-segment of the 003 aircraft carrier with a width of 41.5 meters or less will be carried out in the indoor molding area of the plant. The heavy ship platform can be closed and adjusted to avoid the interference of various bad weather on the construction work of the aircraft carrier, and can also adjust the indoor temperature to achieve constant temperature production for the first time.
As an ultra-large engineering equipment, it is impossible for all aircraft construction work to be done indoors. According to experience, the total section of indoor heavy-duty stern construction includes the bow section, the middle section of the hull and the stern section. After the final assembly is produced, it will be transported to the northernmost section of Terminal 4 for final assembly. The aircraft carrier's bow section is relatively lighter and is expected to be transported by land using a giant flat-panel automatic transport vehicle. The middle and tail of the hull will be transported by means of water barge transport. These segments will be assembled in the final assembly at Terminal 4.
Due to the height limitation of the indoor mega-tank factory, these indoor construction sections will not include superstructures such as hangars and ship islands. These superstructures can only be assembled after the hull has been formed. In the No. 4 dock, the closing time of each segment is also in order. Therefore, 1 or 2 waterproof partitions will be installed in the No. 4 dock. These drains will ensure that later hull segments will not affect the production of earlier docked segments. When the 003 aircraft carrier is fully decked, the maximum width will reach 76 meters.
Due to the special application of the electromagnetic catapult on the conventional power carrier and the special installation work, Jiangnan Shipyard built a ground installation and testing workshop for the electromagnetic catapult in the new plant. The electromagnetic ejection and blocking device installed on the aircraft carrier will be assembled, tested and completed in the area before final loading.
After the transformation of these infrastructures, Jiangnan Shipyard will have the ability to produce “pipeline” production for aircraft carriers. Among them, the No. 4 dock can build up to 1.5 aircraft carriers at the same time. In this way, under the premise of ensuring that a ship is docked and completed, the construction of half of the aircraft carriers can be carried out simultaneously.
