One way to deal with missing plane...

I don't think the aviation bodies have specified or considered seats for porcine crew members in the cockpit, so unless the co-pilot gives up his/her seat, there won't be any space for the piggy. As for whether it will eliminate the curse, won't know until its tried. Worth a try I suppose, got nothing to lose.
