As though trade sanctions would have any significant impact on the already poor Singaporean majority. More than 80% of Singaporeans do not own a home. Trade sanctions would probably increase it to 90% in the midterm. Big fucking deal? Don't rock the boat. Stay where you are. It's only sinking, that's all.

ah juan's way of telling singaporeans that he would help them is rather abstract. perhaps he could try that again and instigate obama one more time. in that way, maybe he coiuld finally achieve of "helping" singaporeans.

with ah juan's such remarkable "help", singapore should be a happier place if he succeeds.

all is calm. calm before a storm?

ah juan this time didn't do a repeat instigation to get obama to sanction singapore. oh well, they got a ozzie priest as a substitue media whoring attention.

why is sdp always renegade into bringing foreigners to involve in our local politic? don't they know that it shall be all singaporeans who are going to pay for the price if they were to be misled by all this dubious characters with ulterior motive?

if can't get an USA president, an ozzie priest can do just as well

Why is SDP mixing politics and religion?
Why is SDP inviting foreigners to interfere in our domestic affairs?

Australian clergyman barred from entering Singapore - Nov 11, 2012 - The Sunday Times.

By Janice Heng

An Australian clergyman was barred from entering Singapore last week, as he "has interfered in Singapore's domestic politics", the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said in a statement today.

Mr James Minchin arrived in Singapore from Australia on Nov 7, and was turned back at Changi Airport.

In August last year, while on a social visit to Singapore, he spoke at a political forum "where he alleged that the rule of law was bypassed and corrupted in Singapore, and questioned the independence and integrity of the judiciary," said MHA.

But he did not have a permit to speak.

All foreigners who are involved in activities directly related to the "organisation or conduct of any seminar, conference, workshop, gathering or talk concerning any religion, race or community, cause or political end" must hold a Miscellaneous Work Pass.

Recently, Mr Minchin came to Singapore again on a social visit and gave a "political interview" in his capacity as a clergyman.

To this, MHA said that separation of religion and politics is a long-established principle here, and foreigners are not exempt from it.
