Like I said right from the beginning if you don't wear masks properly they make things worse.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/he...-changes-to-travel-and-gatherings-for-level-2

“Our current view is that we don't believe there is evidence for, or that we should move to compulsory face mask wearing, but we will put advice out there if people want to use face masks … go ahead, but they should be aware of how to use them safely and avoiding the risk of the mask being a source of infection.”

Ardern commented that surgical masks should be changed up to 3 times an hour, they shouldn't become damp. She said making sure they're worn properly is evidence that can fall either side when you're weighing up pros and cons.

Bloomfield said it's not a supply issue but an evidence issue and the evidence is in the balance. He said this isn't the final position and they will keep watching for evidence.

He said they've updated advice on PPE use for health workers and some workers outside of health and the general public. They're not recommending or requiring masks, but anyone who chooses to should do so safely.

New Zealand has huge land mass with very few population and foreign trash relative to Sinkieland.

I did when they said no masks necessary. Then they switched to masks compulsory and of course the number of cases shot up because masks make things worse.

The NZ government has managed the situation very well. Jacinda and her government deserve the Gold Standard.

Can we give singapore silver standard ?

No they haven't. It just looks that way from abroad. Singapore has actually done a far better job against the odds. The fiasco that occurred before the lockdown were perfect for a keystone cops episode plus there were zero consequences for those who broke quarantine rules.

The problem with all these comparisons between countries is it's not comparing apples with apples. NZ practices social distancing by default. There are a million less people spread over 2 large islands than there an in Singapore which is only 700sqkm.

If the PAP had been in charge of NZ there would have been no need for a lockdown at all.

The whole of Singapore can fit into lake Taupo.

There are also no foreign worker dorms in NZ. The workers live in houses just like the rest of the population.

A place where sheeps are more than human living there? Yes, gold standard my foot.

The Singapore government created the problem of over-population, hence the perfect congested environment for viruses to spread. So we expect them to jolly well fix the problem. They were too slow in securing our borders, and let the migrant worker infestation blindsided them. Now the world knows they are cocky, clueless, and only know how to play follow the leader, i.e., WHO and Chinkland.

The major cities and suburbs in NZ are cramped with people too, but I agree they are nowhere near the density here.

Lake Taupo is smaller than Singapore.

If the PAP were in charge of NZ it would become another overcrowded urban shithole like Sinkieland. Forests would be cut down and the SLA would sell huge parcels of lands to developers.

Is NZ now open to foreign tourists from all countries?
