Uniquely Singapore!

"UNEEDLEE SINGAPORE" hehehe..
Uniquely Singapore!
So what if you are a grad? Singapore doesn't owe you a living, neither does PAP.
You need to work hard on your own merit. If Minah is happy earning $1000 a month, who are you to say that she is not smart? .
So what if you are a grad? Singapore doesn't owe you a living, neither does PAP.
As a pretty front officer personnel Minah may hook one rich men one day, notwithstanding the small hotel she is working in at the moment.
Downgrade from what? She hadn't even started!!
From zero to zero is not downgrading.
PAP has to realise this. Its pretty much almost their fault in the low birth rate- because of their insensitive labour policies that has social and economical side effects. Its most likely these policies will have a bigger negative impact on the Singapore economy in the next 2 decades at least.
Since the 70' LKYs has screwed Sporeans with his "stop at two" policy. It continued with the University grad mother is superior policy. Then his 'upgrade' policy drove prices sky high, until Sporeans have to be replaced because foreigners are "cheaper".
His policies already driving thousands out of Spore. When he goes, I don't think the PAP has decades but his legacy will haunt Spore for decades![]()
The PAP will reach a point, sometime after LKY's death, on whether they must change course from what would be LKY's recommended course, or to stay the course.
BUSINESS graduate Noor Lilana, 23, is no longer looking for a management trainee position and a quick rise to the top rungs of the hospitality sector.
Instead, she is now prepared to accept a $1,000-a-month job working at the reception desk of a small hotel.
She had been looking for a job in the hotel industry since graduating from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in June last year.
In December, after being turned down repeatedly by hotels, she enrolled in a course for a certificate in hotel services.
She did so in the hope that when she finishes the course next month, she will be able to get a job in the hotel industry.
'Right now, it is okay for me to start at the bottom and earn $1,500, $1,000 even.
Some grads may disagree but in the long run, I am sure this move will pay off as I move up the ladder,' she says.

This give employers a good excuse to cut pay
and lower grads. wages.
More good years ahead.

Remembering a china girl told me that life in SG is fast and undeserving,
some of us slog day and night working but at the end of the day cant see much visible saving.
Firstly not every Tom dick or Harry earns 3k-5k or 10k in fact we see most of our fellow earning less than 2.5k is alarming.
Very glooming sight as not only most of the single guys do not dare to date girls because they have so many fucking bills to pay.
Where do they find times to date and enjoy life.
The policy still encourage us to married and give birth.
I think there were hinting to the professional group of people.
The PAP will reach a point, sometime after LKY's death, on whether they must change course from what would be LKY's recommended course, or to stay the course. They don't acknowledge it now, but they will in time. I fear though because by that time, when its simply too obvious to ignore further, it could be irreversible.
After all, outside of Singapore, there are many economists who don't want to say much about how Singapore is managing the economy. They know, on the surface, Singapore is still a good country- which used to have great numbers- but they are skeptical on whether this model can be sustained in light of the new economy- also because of also more information coming out saying that good wages, basic respect and full employment are not just privileges, but requirements for a country to reach its full economical potential, in order to fully compete with the outside world.
Singapore is not doing either of the three I have mentioned above, and this will have harmful effects on Singapore. Singapore obviously will not prosper if more of its migrated workers are in Australia, contributing to the Australian economy, instead of being in Singapore.
After Kuan Yew's death, Gay Loong is too much of a buffoon to be taken seriously, there will be infighting in the PAP. And there will be no quick and fast solution, it will get worse.

If NUS grad can take 1k salary...i think minister should take 3k salary.
