Unconfirmed: NSP to withdraw from Sembawang, Tampines and Pioneer contest

According to an insider tip-off to States Times Review, the National Solidarity Party will not contest in the coming General Elections and constituencies like Sembawang GRC, Tampines GRC and Pioneer SMC will be uncontested which will eventually lead to a walkover.

It will be really bad for Singapore to see any constituency uncontested and led PAP has easy walk-over. I believe there are still decent people at NSP and they should step forwards to salvage the party and renewed its leadership.

Decent people will abandon NSP. NSP's name is so smelly that no decent person would want to be associated with them. In a way, it's a good thing. There's too many opposition parties in Singapore. This is a good chance to start weeding them out. NSP took part in a number of GEs, but never once won. Their best chance was in GE2011 but they lost due to bad strategy.

I hope SDP or WP or SFP has enough members to take over NSP's place.

Even as a pro-PAP guy, I would like to see all the seats contested. It's boring to see walkovers.
