The $100 entrance fee to the govt is just a ruse for the govt to pretend they're doing something to help citizens.

The people running the IR can easily absorb the $100 fee if they're sure the patron can generate more than $100 profit (not revenue) to them. I'm pretty sure the casino will think of something to help patrons overcome the $100 fee...

Do you guy know the cruise ship offer free ferry cum breakfast, lunch, dinner & supper? How many family, traveller pay $60/pax for the ancient roller coaster ride & other games? what make you think genting is not the best option for me - mist, clouds, rain sunshine & hotel room for $45/- 3 days hide out?

IMO, the control point for the 24hrs rule may be when you changed your chips back to cash at the cashier, that is the point where they will check if you need to pay S$100 more or not.

Pls show me your IC and ticket (printed with check-in time and IC number).

How many times a sinkie visit casino and total time spent there is also tracked.:( Compulsory one.

I don't see how they are going to enforce this unless they force you to carry a time card or some sort of electronic device and check it before you leave.
You can always cash your chips at different intervals before the 24 hours are up.
These rules are becoming more and more absurd.

Everyone that visits SINGAPORE's casinos are tracked and monitored.
Who dares to gamble there? Really crazy and stupid.

Not to mention the FIRST in the world to create a CASINO with crappy rules and regulations and the FIRST CASINO to close down within 1 month of operation due to non participation.

Look at the whole world situation.... there is no global recovery at sight yet, all government are taking a cautious view and approach.

In the context, I would guess that there might be a S$100 receipt with time stamp of purchase (well arguable that one may enter the casino later than the actual payment time.

Maybe an electronic card and detection at entrances?
