Just came back from rws. Losing and bruising trip all the way. The denom for the CC in VR and Maxims smoking area have been changed to minimum 50c. And the minimum bet is $12.50 per press. Plus the machines are super hungry for CNY. I tried these reset 50c machines and lost almost 2K because they just eat and I didn't manage to get a single free game. I went to both VR and Maxim's upstairs. Then I went t Melati, and lost another few K on their 20c CC. Quite sian play.
I lost too but at least I did manage to trigger free games fairly often enough to sustain play. I also noticed the 25c machines are now set to 50c at VR. But not sure if you noticed there are quite a few 2c denom CC machines now at Orchid Room. The odds settings for CC machines are different with the worse odds settings for the low minimum machines.
How to check the odds? Just go to the game menu and see pays help and the first page will be the odds setting for that machine.
What to look out for -
A - Average number of individual games played per winning combination = XXX
B - Odds of winning top 5 and bottom 5 combinations, use 5 x purple and 3 x scatters as reference.
In the past, the original setting for odds for all machines were -
A - 17.32
B - 1 in 133,331 (5 x purple) and 1 in 158 (3 scatters/bonus symbol)
You can now only find this setting for those minimum 50c machines were you can still choose to play some of the lines (i.e. the top row of buttons still activated for 1 way, 9 ways, 27 ways, 81 ways, 243 ways)
For these machines in general you tend to get fewer dead spins, easier to trigger free games compared to other machines but harder to get the top paying lines.
Most machines are now set to the following -
A - 48.57
B - 1 in 5457 (5 x purple) and 1 in 4011 (3 scatters)
Some machines are set (mostly 5c denom) -
A - 49.20
B - 1 in 5514 and 1 in 4032
And the worse setting (found on the 2c denom) -
A - 49.20
B - 1 in 5729 and 1 in 4131
Technically speaking it should be easier to hit the top paying lines compared to the original settings but much harder to hit the FGs. TBH, I'm not sure what these numbers really mean when it comes to practical play because when you compared 1 in 158 vs 1 in 4000+ it seems like it is 20x easier to hit the FGs based on original settings but I don't find that really so.
