Worst ever nasi lemak...but still can get 3.5/10 ?

Crave is not great, but this guy must have eaten some fantastic nasi lemak in his lifetime to call it the worst.:biggrin:

The original Selera Rasa nasi lemak stall at Adam Road is also over-rated. Everything is cold: rice, chicken wing, egg, otak.

Sampling and thoughts:

The basmati long grains were full of fluff and incredibly fragrant the first time round, then again we were monumentally disappointed during a repeated visit to a different outlet at Orchard Ion shopping mall. Our portion came from a batch which was evidently undercooked, as such we found ourselves ingesting slightly tough kernels. Apparently there is room for improvement as far as maintaining consistent quality of food across all Crave's kitchens are concerned.

.............. The fish fillet set didn't get the fish part right to say the least - we struggled to shove what seemed to be thick, rubberized morsels of mere filler paste down our throats. Rather thankfully the accompanying bergedil (potato patty of dense curried goodness) was up to the mark and partially restored faith in an otherwise lacklustre platter.

To me, selera @adam fc serves very tasty nasi lemak. Been a big fan for years and still continue to be. Have tried all their side dishes and I like everything except the otak which btw is not made by them but outsourced. Best side dish to me is the fried chicken which unfortunately is the only side dish which cannot be ordered ala carte extras. My only complaint is that the ikan bilis portion is too little and does not come with peanuts although I gather the reason for this is because selera wants to protect those with nut allergies.

As for tie up with Crave. To me I have never bothered because I always believe in going for the authentic original.

Oh yeah, the other pet peeve with selera@adam fc is the invariable long queues. But I put up with it because I enjoy their food and good things you have to wait.
