SINGAPORE: Commuters travelling on the North East Line continue to experience delays.
SBS Transit, the operator of the North East Line, said this is due to a power fault.
It said there is now a delay of 2 minutes for trains heading towards HarbourFront.
Previously, the operator warned of additional travelling times of about 20 minutes in both directions.
Earlier in the day, Channel NewsAsia spoke to some commuters.
"The announcement keeps on going on that (train services) are delayed for 10 to 15 minutes. (However), from Hougang to Chinatown, it's already been delayed from 40 minutes to almost an hour," said one commuter.
"A lot of people were just waiting to go into the train. And there were a lot of people in the train (as well), but the train did not move," said another.
