Can earn right?outside rental 5000 le
It is not about being a hawker, but what he plans to sell. Your friend should just buy a small cart, and sell cold drinks near soldiers field training site. Guaranteed long queue with very little capital.

Cai png or chicken rice or noodle better

For a newbie in the Hawker industry, do not, DO NOT attempt to sell chicken rice. It is not easy as it seems, as there is MUCH involved in preparation & sale of the seemingly MERE chicken rice.

The insignificant nobody me was impressed with a Hainanese Chicken rice HDB Hawker stall owner, & made my due diligences. I invited him to my small home party of 25 guests.

I ordered the best whole chicken, rice & condiments from the best restaurant in Singapore. I invited him too, to demonstrate his skill in DE -BONING a whole chicken in front of guests, which he kindly obliged.

It only took him under 10mins to debone the whole chicken, even down to the wings, with NO meat left upon bones, to place equal portions of chicken flesh upon each of my guests, a feat that would take me hours to ponder upon, as the only meal I know how to cook is packet noodles, & taught to me by my seniors during military service, in the cold, dark, rainy, damp Temboroung jungle of Brunei, for a hot meal to motivate my team & myself to press on....

My guests were impressed too.

The point is that a chicken meal is NOT as easy as it it seems. My acquaintance revealed to me & my guests that he started cooking skills at the age of 13 from his grandmother, whom she herself started around the same age from her parents in Hainan, whom fled to Singapore under the devil Mao's program to ANNIHALITE all knowledge....

The point is - the chicken rice meal is not easy as it seems. It would take skillsets learnt over years, the way famous Japanese Sushi was created. It would take years if not decades for an apprentice to achieve mastery of sushi... Such is only the chicken deboning process, let alone the preparation of chicken as it is NOT pork, fish, beef or veggies whereby within minutes it is cooked & edible.

Thus if one is a newbie, start with easy pre-packaged foods such as noodles or easily prepared rice, then work the way upwards to the other ingredients for a healthy meal. Processed fish are favorites, & when one is more experienced - healthy red meats such as lean pork & beef, as well as the condiments - sauces & soups....
