5 years ago, someone asked me to buy a US$1m property in good CA district, I didn't realized that that was the start of the CA property rally.
3 year2 later, the same property is worth $2m, the steepest climb in recent memory.

If you are buying it own-stay, Covid is a good time to buy some properties for your princes.

I will wait and see how long it stays listed. See if they drop the price further. My daughter knows the neighbor's son. He says they were family of doctor and nurse. Kids all grown up. Husband passed away. Nurse moved to Australia.

I dont think they actually need to sell. They bought the house for about 400k years back.

If the house is still listed when first snow has fallen I may try putting an offer again. Haha.

Calgary I believe is Canada is First World country like Singapore Swiss standard. I’m afraid I cannot survive which is why I quit to a 3rd world country. Screws are very low end product for low end salesmen like me.

because of pandamic, property prices dip about 6.9% in sillycon valley but more (16.9%) in other parts of californicate, especially central valley. instead of 69 would be buyers viewing the property it’s now down to 6.9. there are still serious buyers with cash and pre-approved loans but they don’t need to offer way over asking and with all cash bids. i’m waiting for the airbnb fallout. many airbnb speculators had been buying homes in good locations during the peak but are overstretched and over-leveraged now. they have the nerve to ask airbnb to help by seeking donations from customers to pay for their troubled mortgages. foreclosures will happen in this segment. keep powder dry and get ready.

Canada is very big. So she probably is unfamiliar with Alberta and Calgary. They only see photos and pictures.

I dont know much about the other provinces in detail either. But polar bears can be dangerous so generally you wont find them in the big cities.
