M'sia-S'pore trains cancelled
<!-- by line --> <!-- end by line --> KOTA BARU - TRAINS running from Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore have been cancelled until further notice because of the flooding in Malaysia. That has left thousands of passengers with bookings for the Hari Raya Aidiladha holiday looking for other ways of getting to their destinations. KTM's eastern territory manager Che Ibrahim Sulaiman said the affected trains were the Express Timuran from Tumpat to Kuala Lumpur, and the Express Wau from Tumpat to Singapore. The rail service provider has given refunds to those who had to cancel their trips, he said. The first floods hit Malaysia's east coast states early this month, killing four people and causing the evacuation of thousands. Heavy monsoon rains triggered a second wave of flooding during the past few days.
