Tanjong Pagar MP Baey Yam Keng said that working women wearing low-cut dresses are unprofessional. If any male colleagues who accidentally catch a glimpse of it, it will cause a misunderstanding. They will be seen as a lecher. Hence, the male colleagues will feel disturbed, uneasy.

Baey also said that in his working circle, the dressings of women are basically professional and decent. Occasionally, however, he would see women wearing lacy undergarment-style fashion shopping. He felt, "This can be regarded as sexual harassment."

This is ridiculous.

Beh Liam Keng would be disciplined by Denny the Crane this afternoon !!

Incredible statement!

I am sure that he will say that he was misquoted!

Does this apply to men with tight shirts??

MP Baey speaks under pressure from his partner :(

There is a Cantonese saying to this, "le um tai, sud lei hwei, le tai, sud lei hwei'...in others words, "you don't look, you are not giving her face, you look, you are outraging her medesty"..

Maybe horsey (baey) never got a chance to look properly, now he is complaining....maybe he should draw up a dree code..where the ladies, dress in black, cover all over, except a slit for the eyes & mouth...wera black glove & stockings..sound familar..

Anyway, we can avert our eyes and don't look, or cover it with our ten fingers with gaps...ha ha ha:D

Most guys who see women wearing low-cut dresses will just move on. They won't think too deeply into it anymore. But obviously, this Baey guy is "very disturbed" seeing women wearing low cut or sexy lacy dresses. Is he guilty-conscious or what? Why such thoughts still linger in him even after the event? I think he needs to go for therapy!

I think he need to go see a therapist, or a stay at the spa retreat along Buangkok Green , SINgapore, will do him some good.

I have seen along Orchard Rd for years women who wear all sorts of clothing, which leaves liitle much for the imagination, I just move on. Sometime, my 'dinosaur' does rise to the occasion...I have to say "down boy, down boy"...

Other than that...move on!

Wahlan, an educated MP, a constituency leader with a voice in our august Chambers come out with such a statement. He's surely going to be disciplined and counselled. Don't he ever think of the implications when he open his big mouth! :D:D I'm sure there are many man-eaters and man-haters around waiting to skin him alive. What a brave but reckless guy!:D:D

EXACTLY! But this guy Baey does the opposite. He will accuse the women who wear sexily to have committed sexual harassment against him !!!

HAHAHAHA! What a joke!

I'm pretty sure when this thing blows up with reporters asking him to clarify on his statement again, he would say it's a misunderstanding and that he was misquoted... HAHAHAHA!

The fact that most men like to see women naked or dressed scantily or in the most provocative manner. Yes, the fact that you enjoy it does not mean Baey is talking nonsense.

The thrust of his argument is 'sexual harassment', and if your eyes are accidentally or voluntarily drawn to a woman's boobs because she 'give half ball' or the support segment her pantyhose that is peeking out from her skirts because of the high hemline, you can be accused of being a lecher.

Not long ago someone started a thread about his giving compliments to a female colleague's nice legs and was immediately summoned to the HR department, presumably the female colleague complained to the HR Director that she was harassed.

Women have been harassing men for a long time, and most of these wanton women would have been taken to task if they were in Kelantan or Saudi. But knowing men, especially Sinkies men, they covet the opportunities to be raped by OLs, so sexual harassment means very little. It's just the appetizer to some greater sexual fantasy.
