A SIX-YEAR-OLD BOY, who was reported missing since last Wednesday, was found dead in a canal near Block 44 on Bendemeer Road on Wednesday morning.

A man has been arrested, said police.

The boy, Muhammad Nor Rashidy Bin Rahmat, was last seen at his home in Block 65, Kallang Bahru on Nov 18 at about 6 pm, said police, who made an appeal for information on his whereabouts on Tuesday.

The boy's aunt, Ms Nur Liana Amin, 21, told Berita Harian that a man came and took him downstairs at about 3pm last Wednesday. That was the last time she saw her nephew, whose nickname is Edy.

Ms Nur said the man and his wife, who live in Bukit Merah and are known to the family, would come at about 11am daily to take the boy to his nursery and pick him up later.

Last Wednesday, the day Edy went missing, the man's wife was taken away by police for questioning over drug offences, said Ms Nur. When the man did not return the boy at the usual time, Ms Nur said she called the man, who told her that the boy was with him and they were on their way back. But they did not show up.

The boy's frantic grandmother, Madam Asmah Asmoneh, called the man and told him to immediately send the boy back. On Friday morning, the man turned up at the flat, saying Edy was coming up shortly. He then left. When the boy failed to show up, the family called the man repeatedly but could not reach him. They later made a police report.

What happened in Circuit Road ?

The father or step father, drown the girl in a pail of water, buried the body under a flyover.....even went on a search for the missing girl...

Recent case, another father or step father, bashed up a very young girl to death for playing with his rokok...

Now, this...!!:p

Race has nothing to do with it, you moron. Chinese kill kids too, so do whites, blacks, etc.

Of course not, nothing to do with a particular...you have, blue bottle flies, common house flies, robber flies..etc..

We can not help noticing of an high incident rate of child murders by a certain family of diptera, "the common house flies".

It is a worry sign of a deep social problem, abbreviated from the job markets, by a large influx of FAMISHED TALENTS ( F.T.),

M.O.M., is now, makking sure that, many companies employ LOCAL ONLY drivers. where the large number of 'common house flies' usually congregate!

THE decomposed body was fully-clothed and stuffed in a trolley bag and zipped.
Intensive police investigations led to the arrest of the man in a hotel at Westerhout Road in Geylang. The suspect ,a 31-year-old man, believed to be the boy's babysitter, has been arrested for murder.
Residents said they saw police leading him from Block 44 to the crime scene.
Addieriz Md Said, a resident, said: "This morning I saw four CIDs bring a Malay guy with a strip of leather ... moving off from my house under my block, to the restaurant, to the crime scene.
"But I didn't know what was happening and I just followed to see. He was wearing a white shirt, white pants and was a bit plump and had shoulder-length hair."
Police have classified the case as murder, which carries the death penalty.
