No, it is best to bring in addtional opposition into parliament regardless of NCMP or MP. The more the merrier so that end of the day, WP has 3 years on the ground to buy more votes and inroad into other GRC like East Coast and Marine Parade. Joo Chiat is a goner for PAP, no sweat is needed to win the SMC there. I trust Yen has the calibre and supporters there. The eastern Singapore will be shaded with blue and not white anymore. If Hougang SMC by-election is called within 6 months,then there is a precedent for Punggol East SMC by-election to be called within 6 months.
If the Prime Minister does not call Punggol East SMC by-election within 6 months,then he will faced the condemnation of court of public opinion.
