Guess who did all the pimping for Winston? Yes, it was Colin alright. Yeah Colin real cocky guy whose every sentence is peppered with four letter word. Good talker and balls carrier. The Chinese-ed stood no chance even though they both went to Armour at the same time. Col. Chin Chow Yoon was Colin's superior when the Armour Unit was set up, and he had some of the best officers to accompany him to Israel. I don't know how this Colin could make it as he was very good at slacking(forgot the army term for it) without getting caught.

Political candidates in Europe and USA would have to attend grooming courses to help them with social decorum. They are after all trying to get elected as public figures.
It amazes me that after 52 yrs of nation building, you get this chow ah beng who lacks any sense of propriety. Shows you what happens when a nation is all steel and concrete and has zero for heartware.
This fucker is not just a sign of the times, he is the symbol of his party: a cultural embarrassment, and a disgrace to all at Oxbridge and the rest of British education.

Seriously, he was far from General calibre and did not attend U. As a general, pretty malu to meet counterparts without credentials, so, sent to U.S. to get degree. Some more understand he received impressive scores for subjects har di har.

His blue-eyed boy was one of my commanders Colin Theseira, who became a BG and Chief of Armour also another 'O' Levels guy. Whereas I would have thought Colin's colleague from his batch, a Chinese-ed, a much better soldier and more hardworking could have risen higher as he had better abilities, don't discount the gift of the gap and ball carrying tactics that can bring one up the ladder and into the stratosphere of the elites. The Chinese-ed officer reminded me very much of how LTK speaks and carries himself which in the SAF will not get you far,

As for these high flyers in the government, former rear admiral, BG's etc, I don't know what to say. It appears the standards by which we chose these guys to become top ranking SAF personnel has fallen to real low levels. These are not men I would follow into battle, sorry to say. There were and still are far better soldiers, real leaders in our SAF, but because the few that score well in classroom examinations are chosen to be "leaders" of men. These are not genuine leaders and the above videos confirmed that real leaders can only be found in the heat of battle, not in classrooms.

It boggles the mind that Scholars = Leaders in the minds of the PAP, but it all began with LKY's opinions. This GE you can know by now who can be leaders and who are not leader material. Forget their credentials, as this is just one criteria to judge a person's character. Leaders are born not made.

I was at Brigade when Colin was there too. Call him what you may, but around him, I was always relaxed. U have some commanders that are so on the edge and siao on that u are always on pins and needles around them. Colin was more laid back. I don't know who is this chinese-ed guy u refer to, but armour as a whole is much more informal than infantry due to the smaller numbers and closer work environment. In armour, when u are a little bit more chill, u get more done, rather than shouting and ordering everyone around. Maybe he can carry balls well or whatever, I am not priveliged to that. But the one thing that impressed the hell out of me was the fact he was an original camel. I have known people who went there for the training, and they will tell u the Jews tekan u like shit. There are even rumours that some of our guys committed suicide there. The Jewish SOA will make grown men cry and these buggers are sign on proffesionals. I was trained by some of these camel returnees, and already that's jiak lak like hell, I can't imagine going to a desert and doing that, and I can't imagine what they went thru.

I can guarantee u non of these new or pass SAF scholar generals/RADM can survive one week of Camel training. They are all academic numbskulls. If you can survive and qualify as a tankee from the best tank training in the world, than u have earned my respect. That is why I respect Thesiera more than Winston.

this MG Chan appears to hv become a political liability fm the v first time he was introduced as a candidate...i dont know what pap was thinking when they decided to field this arrogant sneaky paper general...i give him the benefit of the doubt viz his credentials, ability n competency...but his EQ n EI appears to be inverse to his IQ...shocking lack of ability to connect wif the public at large...in fact i wonder whether he can even gel wif his TP PAP members?(save for harry who is always susceptible to flaterry!)...the way he appeared to 'take charge' ahead of Indranee n the rest in the absence of harry really cracked me up!!...how can he mobilise the public n win the hearts n minds wif such a personality?...if this is the type of character who is going to form the 4G core of the pap govt wif even a possibility of being pm...then i say god help us all...

I am very puzzled how such an individual can move up so high, regardless of IQ and Ivy League education. Unfortunately, too many are secular. Even for those who believe in God, and say their prayers for a fair and just society, etc., God will help those who help themselves. Accordingly, regardless of our religious affiliation, may I suggest that Archbishop Nicholas Chia's Pastoral Letter is a good read. In addition, Singaporeans have to ignore the threat, fear, and incentives, but vote for change. It is either this GE or not at all.

They have been identified as future PAP yes men and lap dogs. They would have been moved up regardless of how incompetent they are in the army, due to the fact the army is just a temporary stepping stone and validation arena for their ultimate aim, political office.
