MBT screw serangoon Resident !!!!!!!!!!!!

What makes Serangoon residents so special more than those living at Race Course road area?

Their objections were raised mainly to mask their racist intentions. Just that they fell short of saying that.
If the serangoon residents feel that after all they had done, said and yet the government still 'don't care' about them, they should move out of serangoon or loon till next GE and vote the PAP off.
hehehehe, thats just how its like for most sporns. if the problem doesnt exist at their doorsteps, they pretend nothing happened, but when the thrills n spills come knocking on their doors, they make a big hoo-haa. let's nt 4get the residents of geylang greeted with foreign workers by day & street walking ladies by night.

Ever since the decision is made, some residents started changing tune and praising the measures to be adopted. They are afraid the property prices there will fall if they continue to complain.

It could also be that they fear the PAP will house construction workers there instead of factory workers and in larger numbers.

Well, female Singaporeans in general wanted a female minister. The female residents at Serangoon Gardens wanted their female MP to look into their security concerns. It looks like they are going to see their wishes come true. I hope they live happily ever after. :) :)

Geylang is becoming a foreign worker zone except for the Geylang Serai and the lor3.

The thrill part happens as the majority of singaporeans are not objecting. The people in Serangoon are objecting, but believe me, the rest of singapore are not.

It's called containment. By putting them at these places, other places will not be affected. One thing I must commend the scholars are smart, because before they do this deployment, they calculated the votes involved. If a majority of that area votes opposition, it will not cause them to lose the ward, that is why:o

if ask me, geylang should remain as it is.

Just nice lor . Now Serangoon will also have mini-Geylang with brothels and massage parlours for all these FTs for their f**king desires. No need to go all the way to Geylang---too far. Government will give reasons that it is also good for Serangoon women residents who would otherwise be molested or rape if no brothels there. So every one will be happy, including the Serangoon male residents.

- The PAP MP will lend her listening ear to the residents to score brownie points
- She will meet them constantly to address their concerns

Before entering politics, she was from Temasek-the great company that invested in Merrill,UBs, ect2- so don't be surprised to hear more of the same world class and long term argument.

To put things in perspective:

We cannot be so selfish. Although concerns of security is valid, we simply have to co-exist with the foreign workers. After all, they are the ones who are filling the job gaps which $inkees are not willing to do.

What is not right in this fiasco is that, instead of discussing with the residents and finding out what they want, all the idiots did was to tell the residents what is going to happen, and what actions they will take to minimise dangers.

Bottomline, why complain when you know your words are not and will not be heard?

i will not complain as long they don't build it at my hometown KEKEKKEKKEKEKE

The value of property there will sure nose-dive. The old sense of theneighbourhood will be gone with this influx.:D

Fuck the residents la, hope the whole Singapore becomes one big Geylang.

It's amazing how high-handed, disregarding, and condescending the govt has treated Serangoon residents in this episode.

Residents: We don't want foreign worker dorms here!
Govt: Don't be racist! There will be no problem!
Residents: I tell you, there will be problems!
Govt: I know best! So shut up!

Well, maybe the residents fucking deserve it. If they are serious about this, they should demonstrate, and use their luxury cars to block the construction vehicles from coming in.

What you cannot defend, you lose!!

That area will become a slum. Imagine the banglas and the maids screwing at the gardens, parks, country club grounds , condoms all on every nook and corner of the estate... yucks ...

You know, there are experts like social workers and sociologists who want Singaporeans to integrate or assimilate the guest workers.
QUOTE]

Why should singaporeans integrate or assimilate the guest workers. What's in it for Singaporeans?

The ordinary SIngaporeans do not benefit from these guest workers. The people most likely to benefit are the employers of these workers and MPs and ministers. Let them assimilate the workers since the reap the most benefit.

Why middle class Singaporeans like this ?

These foreign workers are humans also. Spare a thought for them please.

How would you feel if our future generations have one day have to work as foreign workers in any country. You want to be treated humanly or not?

serangoon gardens residents are definitely screwed...i would have thought the government will listen to their opposition on this...i am bloody surprised...is there any MPs staying in serangoon gardens? i think i will avoid chomp chomp from now on.

There will be 10 others. So pray hard and hope that none will end up in your neighbourhood. Otherwise, it would be "50 steps laughing at 100 steps". :)
