Don't get me wrong. I was shocked by what the experts were advocating and hence I was trying to show how ridiculous they sounded.

I have said before: As thinking persons, we should be able to tell the difference between "assimilate", "integrate" and "accomodate".

* We should assimilate the PRs because they are supposed to be here permanently.
* We should integrate the expatriates because they are supposed to here for years.
* We should accomodate the guest workers because they are transient.

I won't be surprised, considering a lot of them may be higher qualified than some of us. Some of those Indian workers posses Masters in IT/ comp science/ electronics etc. They resort to doing odd jobs only because of over saturated job mkt in their motherlands.

well, its only less than 3yrs till the next GE, last time, s-goon residents can smell sea breeze from marine parade, then now, they can smell durian from aljunied. lets see how they wanna slice the constituency again.

What makes Serangoon residents so special more than those living at Race Course road area?

Their objections were raised mainly to mask their racist intentions. Just that they fell short of saying that.
If the serangoon residents feel that after all they had done, said and yet the government still 'don't care' about them, they should move out of serangoon or loon till next GE and vote the PAP off.
