Google has made an eyebrow-raising claim, saying that its new quantum chip may be tapping into parallel universes to achieve its results.

"This mind-boggling number exceeds known timescales in physics and vastly exceeds the age of the universe," he argued. "It lends credence to the notion that quantum computation occurs in many parallel universes, in line with the idea that we live in a multiverse, a prediction first made by David Deutsch."

Deutsch is a physicist who laid out his multiverse hypothesis in a 1997 book called "The Fabric of Reality," in which he suggested that quantum computers' calculations take place across multiple universes at the same time.

Put another way, Google is suggesting that its chip is so fast that its computations may have taken place across parallel universes — a bombastic statement that unsurprisingly drew plenty of skepticism online.

Time for some mental gymnastics

1. The big bang theory had been proven by science & accepted by most in the scientific community. Thus in order that PARALLEL universes to exists, such universes would be born at the same moment, each at different areas in the vastness of space.

2. The laws of physics are universal. Each universe would go thru the same ecological processes as our universe at the same time including development of sentient life.

3. However, sentient life does not follow the laws of physics but adaptability - either one adapt to survive the environments or go extinct. Thus each lifeform & development will be different in parallel universes.

4. What the Google quantum chip had discovered is probably only a COMPUTATIONAL MODEL of parallel universes, evven where it is on the XYZ axis but NOT the physical ones.

5. Information can be relayed thru light, but even if there are transmittors & recovers, it would take hundreds if not thousands of Light years for info exchange, which such info would no longer be of relevance...
